About North State Title Company
North State Title Company was formerly Frontier Title Company originally licensed to do business in Yuba and Sutter Counties since 1963. Frontier Title was purchased by a group of local business people in 1984. On April 1, 1985 they purchased Ticor Title Insurance of Yuba/Sutter Counties and merged the two companies. The name was then changed to North State Title Company.
The Company purchased the Glenn County operation of Ticor Title Insurance in 1988. In December, 2000 the Colusa County operation of Colonial Title was purchased and became our sixth branch office.
Old Republic Title Holding Company acquires North State Title Company
OAKLAND, CA –On Monday, April 2, 2007, Old Republic Title Holding Company enhanced its direct title and escrow operations in Northern California by acquiring North State Title Company, a locally-owned, independent, underwritten title company offering title insurance and related escrow services to clients in Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, and Glenn counties.

Iin 1984, by a group of local business owners. purchased the Company. On April 1, 1985, the Company changed its name to North State Title Company, and expanded its operations over the next three years through its progressive acquisition of Ticor Title Insurance Company operations by purchasing thein Yuba, and Sutter, and Glenn Countyies operations of Ticor Title Insurance Company of California. The Company again expanded its operations into Glenn County in 1988 when it closed purchase of Ticor Title Insurance Company of California Glenn County operation. Further expansion occurred in December 2000 when it acquired the Colusa County operation of Colonial Title Company. “As CEO/President of North State Title Company, I am excited about the recent acquisition of our company by Old Republic Title Holding Company, Inc.
